BuyingUnderstanding the Process

Introduction

GETTING STARTED

You’ve thought about buying a new house.  Maybe it’s your very first home.  Or perhaps your family has grown and you need more space.  It may be that you are empty nesters and it’s time to downsize.  Or as retirees, you are ‘snowbirds’ and head down south every winter.  A condo makes a lot of sense.

You’ve been on the internet checking to see what’s for sale.  Perhaps you’ve been to a few open houses.  You’ve driven through neighbourhoods just to get a ‘feel’ of somewhere you’d like to call home.

Now it’s time to get the ball rolling.  But where do you start?

THE RIGHT AGENT

One of the first things you’ll need to do is connect with and engage the right Agent. It’s critically important. Not only can the right Agent guide you through all the intricacies of the deal. The necessary paperwork. The protective clauses. The negotiations. As we’ll see shortly, they can be extremely helpful in locating the exact right fit. Your dream property.
